Discovered something last weekend – Suntec City has a new dining area, the Sky Garden! It’s been ages since I’ve explored the area, so when locating the restaurant which the D&D girls had chosen for our monthly meeting, was pleasantly surprised to discover the terrace and nice views overlooking the city.
Upon arriving, I discovered that there is a daily happy hour till 8pm. Perfect. I ordered a house wine on the spot. Dallas Restaurant also has a value for money set meal where one can get two courses for $28++ or three courses for $38++. Eventually, this is what all of us opted for:
For starters, we had french onion soup – this was really good!
A chose to be different and had the spicy cauliflower starter instead.
“Not what I was expecting…” she mused when the dish arrived. True, where is the cauliflower?
For mains, most of us chose different things:
Chicken fajitas. The wraps were presented in a dim sum box – cute!
Bondi burger – aka a fish (barramundi) burger. Interesting combination, but the ladies enjoyed it very much.
Fettuccine with meatballs
The prime steak is an additional $12++, however it is still worth it than getting the steak on its own. It was a very generous portion, I just wish that they had served it on a bigger plate.
I really liked the location and ambiance of Dallas Restaurant. The restaurant seemed really popular among couples as well. The service was good, staff were very attentive and patient. The dishes we had were pretty enjoyable, though none of them really stood out in particular. The service and the location does make up for it though and prices were rather reasonable.
