Sapporo Ramen Miharu

I miss blogging! And to blog, I need to keep exploring new places but unfortunately, I’ve just been so busy with work. My lunches and dinner are mostly takeaways from my nearby foodcourt at my office (hardly blogging material). Thankfully, last weekend, I decided to forget it all and go satisfy my ramen craving at Sapporo Ramen Miharu. 


Surprisingly, it wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. We got a seat very easily, though service was a bit slow because there was just one person serving the entire restaurant! Thankfully, once she took our orders, the food followed swiftly.

First, we had some gyoza to kick things off, these were ok… nothing special

Tokusen Miso ($14.80) a ramen with special blended miso soup base

Negi Miso ($15) – Japanese leek miso

Miso Tonkotsu ($14.80) Rich miso pork flavoured with fried garlic oil soup base.

Out of the three types of ramen we had, the miso tonkotsu probably had the strongest flavour, partly due to the addition of the garlic oil. Perhaps, I am very used to strong flavours, hence I enjoyed the miso tonkotsu most of all. The noodles were excellent, with a good bite to them and I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl of ramen. Really reminded me a lot of the ramens I had in Tokyo, though the yuzu ramen I had at Afuri remains one of my favourites. Great place to check out for anyone looking to satisfy their ramen craving in Singapore.
